(More detailed instructions are in the recipe card below.)

Recipe Tips and Substitutions

  • You can use any combination of berries you like -- or one or two of the three. Your call.
  • Fresh orange juice is the best for this recipe. That said, not everybody has the time (or inclination) to squeeze a ton or oranges, so the next best thing is a good quality orange juice without extra sugar.
  • You can make these popsicles with really any fruit juice you like. You might like to try lemonade, grape, pomegranate or apple -- or a mix.
  • Some of the berries will sort of stick to the mold and not fall to the bottom, which is ideal. If however they're very small, they might all fall to the bottom. If that's the case, to spread the berries evenly throughout the popsicles, for the best results, lay them on their sides as they begin to freeze. When they're about halfway frozen, they can stand upright in the popsicle tray.
  • To easily get the popsicles out of the molds, just run them under hot water for a few seconds.

What a fun (and pretty) treat to enjoy all summer long! Love the simplicity of these and I bet they're so good on a warm day. Love to have a few of these stashed away in our freezer...I'd better make a double batch because I'm pretty sure they won't last long. 🙂

I don't have any popsicle molds... but, if I did, I would make these as I have a lot of good fruit (and fresh squeezed OJ) on hand. We really need cooling desserts like this now! Over 105° every day...

These will be great during a long, hot Texas summer. I ordered some molds. Cris always making her healthy smoothies, I bet the molds would work for those as well. Our local market HEB -- which serves Texas and Northern Mexico -- has a great assortment of berries. Take care. Love your recipes.

Hi Kristy, Thanks so much. I hope you love these, and that they cool you down in the summer heat. I'm spoiled where I am in LA with a bit of the ocean breeze, but I still love a good frozen treat. 🙂 ~Valentina
